A Friend of Mine

A short paragraph or two about a friend of mine. We're not as close as we used to be, but we're still friends.

There you are! I've been thinking about you throughout my busy day. The phone seemed to ring incessantly, and it everything that could go wrong seemed to do so. When the boss complained, I thought of your gentle coolness and the comfort that you have always held out to me. Others sometimes speak ill of you, but to me you have never done wrong. You are, and have been, my lover friend and confidante. I enter the sanctuary of my home and you are there waiting. I grasp you and you do not resist. I remove the only impediment to my enjoyment of you, and you are again mine.

A cold can of beer!
