Chasing Shadows

This is a poem about one of the things that faeries do.

Chasing Shadows

I fell asleep in the noon day sun
And dreamed of faeries chasing shadows.
They danced and played as the shadows grew long
But still I dreamed of faeries chasing shadows.

We saw a human today
As we were chasing shadows,
And made it seem as only a dream
As we were chasing shadows.

In my dream they talked to me
Of faeries chasing shadows
And in a song asked me to come along
With the faeries chasing shadows.

We went to him
And sang our tune
That asks him to come with us
As we go chasing shadows.

I go with them now whenever I can
And together we go chasing shadows.
Someday they say that I can stay
And always go chasing shadows.
